Dr. Emily McLaurin
Emily McLaurin, MD, is a board-certified family physician with 17 years of experience that includes both inpatient and outpatient clinical care, medical education, research, and international medical work. As the founder, she is passionate about caring for the whole person, supporting health in families, and improving primary care in Oklahoma City and beyond. Dr. McLaurin loves taking care of people from all ages and stages of life.
Prior to starting Foundations Direct Care, Dr. McLaurin practiced at St. Anthony Hospital for 5 years and has volunteered as a physician at Ministries of Jesus Clinic for 12 years. She earned her bachelors at Rice Univeristy, medical degree at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX and completed her residency training at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Dr. McLaurin loves adventures: she loves to travel, hike, savor delicious food with friends and family, play the violin and piano, and just curl up with a good book. She embraces her Taiwanese American heritage and loves learning new languages. She is always working to improve her skills in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and Spanish and is eager to add more languages to the mix.
Denean Knapp
Denean Knapp is an Occupational Therapist with more than 22 years experience in pediatrics and 10 years experience in Craniosacral and Manual Therapy. She also has 15 years experience as a yoga instructor, including developing the “Release Therapeutic Style” of yoga.
Denean has been in the school and educational setting, owned and operated an aquatic therapy company, and sees clients for CSMT in both private and clinical settings.
Denean was an All-American Swimmer for Texas A&M University and has trained with the Upledger Institute and internationally renowned, Dr. Ed Stiles. She has a bold love for Jesus and her six year-old daughter, Presley. She enjoys swimming, reading, family, and friends.
Karina Orozco
Karina was born and raised in Oklahoma but stays close to her Mexican roots. She's passionate about serving people and caring for their needs, specifically through excellent customer service. She has more than two years of experience in the medical service patient department, is fluent in Spanish and is currently pursuing a degree in Human Relations Management. She enjoys playing her guitar and loves exploring new places.
